Greatway Support Solutions provides high quality, therapeutic, person centred support for children and young people with disabilities living in Out of Home Care, in Group Foster Care home settings.
We look for dynamic and experienced people to be part of a team that work together to improve the lives of vulnerable children who have experienced complex trauma.
Your duties will include.
- Provide a stable and nurturing home environment for children in need
- Offer emotional support, mentorship and guidance
- Assist with educational and extracurricular activities
- Advocate for individual children’s rights and well-being
- Build a strong sense of community and belonging.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day care and supervision of the children and provide a positive, supportive, safe, and healing environment for children – delivering high quality, therapeutic and child focused services.

About you

We are seeking highly motivated people who have:
- A Certificate III/IV or higher in Children Studies/ Youth Work, Community Services or related, is preferred.
- Experience working with young people in a residential setting.
- Knowledge and understanding of Therapeutic Parenting & Trauma Informed Care particularly in the Out of Home Care Setting.
- You must be able to obtain a current National Police Clearance and Provide a First Aid certificate. It is also essential to have a current Working With Children Check, Worker Screening Check, and QLD ‘C class driver’s licence.
